*A small wooden doll is in Yotsuba's mailbox. It resembles a woman wearing a white dress. Her hair is painted green. There isn't very much in the way of detail, and what detail is there is unskilled, but it's clear effort was put into it, falling back on simplicity where necessary - the face, for example, is little but lines and slight depth that suggests a face, relying on the viewer's imagination. A note is wrapped around it.*

Yotsuba,

I made this doll for you, so that you may always have a friend when you need one and no one else can come to you. I hope such a day never comes, but that you enjoy the doll nonetheless.

*She's just brightening these monster-fatigued days.*

A friend is someone who you can depend on and enjoy time with, someone you love dearly, but not in the same way family members or lovers love one another. From what you've said, I think that Juralumin and Little Yoba will become friends.

*It's a welcome momentary distraction, at least.*

Lovers are people who are romantically involved with each other, but not married. They can be friends, too, and sometimes friends become lovers. You won't need to worry about that until you're older.

Such things happen when you start to become an adult. It's different for every person, but it tends to be from thirteen to fifteen years of age in girls.

Romantic love is difficult to describe. But marriage is like a contract, though its terms vary greatly from place to place. People who are married often fall in love, but there was one marriage here in this tower that was done for no other reason than the two people were in love. Ideally, parents should be married to one another - your mother and father are likely married.

Perhaps you should go to the library and try to find this information on your own. It's a bit like searching for treasure in the sand, and it's very satisfying to learn something on your own.
